Learn what the 64 Gates + 36 Channels mean, in depth - and how to explain them in a chart reading.

The gates and channels are the specific energies, themes, gifts, and lessons in someone’s design.

While things like strategy and authority are incredibly important to understanding how someone is meant to operate, it’s the gates and channels that really show us the special details of who they are, what they’re here for, and how they’re meant to show up in this lifetime.

In this course, you’ll get both the deeper theory about the gates and channels (what each means, and how to read them in a chart) AND the practical explanations to give someone in a reading (so they understand themselves better!).

WHAT YOU’LL GET:

FAQs

  • That depends on what you’re looking for!

If you want to be an HD reader, then you can absolutely take this course as a beginner. TBH, though, if you’re a total beginner, I would recommend you just grab the HD beginner bundle – because that has this course, PLUS all the stuff I would recommend learning before you dive into the gates and channels at this level.

If you want to simply get easy, accessible explanations – then you may prefer to start with the Gates + Channels mini guide.

  • Hell YES this is for you! This course is specifically for people who want to be able to interpret charts, whether professionally, in an existing practice (e.g., coaching), or for fun.

  • For the gates, all of them are at least a page long.

    They each include:

    • My modern name for the gate/channel

    • The traditional HD name

    • The I-Ching name

    • Keynotes for the gift/shadow

    • A full description of the meaning, purpose, and expression of the gate or channel

    • How to read the gate if it’s a “hanging” gate

    • What to tell someone in a reading

The channels are about ½ a page.

  • Short answer: Lol. No.

Long answer: No, this course does not list out each of the 384 possible gate line expressions. HOWEVER! If you do want to be able to figure out what a gate expression means (i.e., what is 34.4?), there is a whole section where we cover each of the lines and how to understand a gate’s meaning when it is on that line. This way, you have a simple formula to know the meaning even if you don’t have the description.

The reasons for this are that (1) the descriptions you’ll find for most of these are very WTF, (2) the differences between line expressions are so granular that, in a reading, they will really not help you or the person you’re reading for gain much more insight. They will likely just confuse them more – and that’s not what we’re going for, here.
